I did have some issues after reading a few of the prior reviews prior to buying the unit. After using the unit now for time I can state I've had absolutely no problems and the unit has carried out flawless. Wonderful helmet.
The helmet looks great. The protective padding is very comfy. I bought a large and it fits my noggin pretty well. I read that some people thought it ran a little narrow, but I have no complaints. Just a heads up, the ear pieces are part of the helmet. Another customer on another site said that they were removable, but like I said it is part of the helmet. Looking forward to picking up another at this price. Love it!
Be careful with the size-adjustment screw!
There is a screw on each side. The theory is that you adjust the helmet to desired size then tighten the screws.
However, one of my screws fell off and the bolt inside slid away somewhere inside the helmet, on an internal runner. It is really badly designed because even now if I can re-align the bolt with the screw the screw no longer "catches" into the bolt and falls off every time (I tried for an hour to sort it before giving up). Hence me only having one side of the helmet tightened - hope it is enough for safety!
Other than that the helmet is pretty cool and fits OK (I got the Senior Large helmet, as an adult male), it was a bit snug to begin with but opens up after breaking it in by wearing it round the house. The chinstrap clip-button is pretty difficult to manage though and definitely needs 2 hands and a lot of patience, and the strength of a bear.
But you get what you pay for and I decided to keep this helmet for the look of it alone.
