Perfect for mom's peace of mind
We bought this when my son started moving away from the wall at the ice rink. He did not want to wear a bike helmet, so we got him this simple, almost-hockey helmet. It is NOT heavy protection, and he will need to wear something more substantial soon, but it has gotten him used to wearing head protection on the ice. I would have given it 5 stars EXCEPT for two things. First, the chin strap is just a peace of elastic and a little harder to adjust than I would like. Second, we ordered white and got blue. My son actually loves the blue (matches his skates), but it is always weird to get something you did not order. Otherwise, I am really, really pleased at this purchase. (NOTE: THE BOX CLEARLY STATES THAT THIS IS NOT FOR ICE HOCKEY. WE ARE USING IT FOR VERY CASUAL SKATING TO GET HIM USED TO WEARING SOMETHING. IF HE CONTINUES, WE WILL GET SOMETHING MORE SUBSTANTIAL.)
