I have actually reviewed a lot of reviews here about how good (many of the reviews state) and how bad this item (allegedly) is, and based on the positive, I bought one. Delighted I did too! It's been about 7 months. I have actually recommended this product to numerous relative. I've wanted a title for a long time. I was excited by the testimonials.
Patience is a virtue
Needed: A rechargable screw gun and a lot of patience. You will drive 90 screws, and tighten 60 bolts with an allen wrench. When you are done, (it took my wife and I 3 hours) you have a very nice air hockey table. I am not sure why it doesn't score every goal, we have to put the puck in several times to activate the automatic scorer. I hope I can make an adjustment to correct this, but still a pretty cool game.
Waste of money
If you want a real air hockey experience, then you are up for disappointment with this product. I suppose when you are on a budget, then this may be the best you can get, but if you ask me, its not worth wasting your money. Either save up for a real air hockey table or get something else. After playing for 5 minutes I was done and will probably never touch it again.
As far as what's available on Amazon.com, this may be the best option. I guess I just feel that anything short of a commercial air hockey table is a joke and a waste of money.
