I've read a great deal of testimonials below about how great (many of the testimonials state) and how bad this product (allegedly) is, and based on the favorable, I purchased one. Glad I did too! It's had to do with 4 weeks. I have actually advised this item to several relative. I've desired a title for a long time. I was thrilled by the reviews.

excellent
This catchers helmet was really a hit with my grandson and he wore it for hours. The quality was excellent and the sizing was perfect. It is an easy on, easy off fit.

Not "Tri Density Foam" liner as advertised
I just received the helmet, and it contains only two layers in the liner. The closest to the head is "Pro-dri" and is very soft. The layer closest the the helmet is a very stiff foam without much give to it. This is not as stated in description. If you zoom in on the picture you can clearly see three layers of foam. In fact the tag attached to the helmet also advertises 3-layers. I'm disappointed they changed this aspect of the product, but I'm also in a pinch because my son needs a new helmet ASAP. Other than the foam, everything looks good. Edit: OK we had a fit problem also and had to return it. The helmet tapers inward toward the front. No matter how we adjusted it, there were about 2 fingers of room between his forehead and the front padding, while still being very tight on the temples.
