I would say MacGregor Youth Catcher's Gear Pack is a good item, I liked it so much that my family got me a bigger one because I desired to try a growing number of things. so this was the ideal product, I would suggest it to anyone.

I am pleased, looks great and fits well, a little big but he will grow into. Overall great value for the money. helmet not the hockey style but works great.

I bought this set for my 9 year old son. Fits him well, but have some trouble with the snap on the back of the helmet coming off the strap. Nothing too serious, but maybe straps could be a little longer so the snap is not near the end of the strap.

Much better deal than buying helmet and gear separately. Could have used more detailed information about sizing. Youth is a pretty broad term. My grandson (average 9 year old) should grow into it in a couple of years. Not adjustable in terms of height.
